Before the safari

Are hotel transfers available from all regions?

There is daily pick-up from the western part of the peninsula such as Ortakent, Bitez, Akyarlar, Turgutreis. Transfer from areas such as Yalikavak, Gundogan, Turkbuku is organised depending on the number of people (minimum 4 people).

When do the tour sessions start?

One session is held at the beginning and end of the season (14:00). Two sessions are held in the middle of the season, at 09:00 and 14:00.

Where is the tour taking place?

The tour takes place in a wooded area in the Mumcular region, approximately 32 km from Bodrum city centre.

How do I get to the tour area?

You will be picked up from your hotels by transfer minibuses and taken to the tour area. The vehicles are 16-seater, air-conditioned minibuses.

Do you need a driving licence?

No, you don’t need a licence to drive a buggy.

Is there an age limit to join the buggy safari tour?

Yes, the driver must be at least 16 years old. Children may sit in the back under parental responsibility.

Is advance booking required for participation?

Yes, it is recommended to book in advance, especially during the summer season.

Is a buggy or ATV (quad) used on the tour?

Both can be used, but the groups move in separate convoys as buggy and quad.

Do weather conditions affect the organisation of tours?

In case of heavy rain or storms, the tour may be cancelled or postponed.

What should I bring with me?

Comfortable clothing, closed shoes, bandana and sunglasses are recommended. However, these products are sold in the area.

Is transfer included in the tour price?

Transfers are included from most hotels, but in remote areas there may be an extra charge depending on the number of people.

What make and engine power are the vehicles?

The vehicles used are Kimko 200 cc engines.

Is there a pickup from the Titanic hotel area?

From the Titanic area, pick-up by Green Bay is available, but transfer from the Merdiyen area is subject to extra charge.

In which languages is the pre-tour information provided?

Yes, the information staff can provide information in English, German, French and Russian.

Is pre-tour training provided?

Yes, basic information is conveyed with a vehicle presentation and a 5-minute test drive in the area.

During the safari

How long is the tour?

It takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes. In total, it is an experience of approximately 3-3.5 hours from hotel pick-up to return.

What is the length of the track?

It is done on a 15-16 kilometre track, in the forest and on roads closed to traffic.

How is the convoy organised on the tour?

There are 20-30 vehicles in each convoy. They are accompanied by pursuit vehicles in front, in the centre and behind.

Are there any breaks during the tour?

Yes, there is a break of about 10 minutes in the forest.

Are there photo and video services?

Yes, there are professional photographers in the area and photographs are taken at different points of the tour.

Is food and beverage available during the tour?

Yes, there is a cafe in the area. You can buy cold drinks and snacks.

Is there a spare vehicle available?

Yes, spare buggy and quad vehicles follow the convoy, in case of failure, immediate replacement is made.

What is the speed of the vehicles?

Vehicles have a maximum speed of 30 km/h, but this speed may vary depending on the track.

Is the forest track safe?

Yes, the track is completely closed to traffic and is only used for tours. Trained staff ensure safety.

What to do in case of accidents?

Each convoy has personnel with first aid knowledge and intervenes when necessary.

Can I take a phone or a camera with me?

Yes, but make sure it is protected against dust and water. Not recommended for safety.

Are helmets or equipment provided?

Yes, each participant receives a helmet. You can also get a bandana if you wish.

Do the clothes get dirty a lot?

Yes, your clothes are likely to get dirty as you pass through dusty and muddy areas.

Is it possible to change the driver?

No, the person in charge of the vehicle is the driver throughout the tour. No changes are made.

Can two people get in the car?

Yes, two people can ride in a buggy vehicle. The driver sits in the front, while the second person can sit in the back seat as a passenger. Quad (ATV) vehicles are generally single-seater vehicles.

After the safari

Is there an opportunity to take a shower after the tour?

Yes, there are 5-6 showers in the area.

How can I obtain the photographs?

At the end of the tour, you can transfer your photos to your phone digitally or receive them via WhatsApp, email, etc.

Is transportation back to the hotels provided immediately after the tour?

Yes, the return transfer will be initiated in approximately 30 minutes.

What should I do if I lose my belongings?

You can get help by informing the area authorities or transfer officers.

Can I shop in the area?

Yes, there is a small sales area where items such as T-shirts, bandanas and shoes are sold.

What if you experience fatigue or health problems?

First aid can be administered by field staff and medical assistance called if necessary.

Is video recording permitted while driving?

Yes, some tours may be recorded during the ride, and these recordings may also be sold.

Can I participate in the next round again?

Of course. You can make reservations for different sessions on the same day or on other days.

If I have a complaint about the tour, who can I contact?

At the end of the tour, you can submit your complaint to the tour guides or the information desk.

Are there any souvenirs specific to the tour?

Yes, you can purchase products with the tour logo or souvenir photos.

Can I get information about other tours?

Yes, you can get information about different safari, sea or cultural tours at the information desk.

Is the shower area clean and usable? Is there a queue?

The shower area is usually kept clean, but there may be short queues during busy seasons. Bringing a small towel and a change of clothes with you will save time.

Will my foreign friends enjoy the tour too?

Most likely, yes. The tour languages include English, German, French, and Russian.

Will I get a discount if I join the tour again?

In some cases, small discounts or benefits may be offered for repeat participation. It is worth asking about this when making your reservation.

If I participate on other days, will it be the same course?

The same route is usually used, but there may be minor changes depending on ground conditions, weather conditions or group density. Morning and afternoon sessions are available for those who want a different experience.
